PLAN A TRIP

DAY 1 QUITO

An English-speaking driver will greet you at the airport in Quito for your transfer to your hotel. This evening is on your own to relax and acclimate. We are happy to pre book a restaurant for your dinner, arrange a driver, or customize the day in any way that you choose. (B)

DAY 2 QUITO/OTAVALO/CUICOCHA LAKE/TEGUCHE

You will be picked up at your hotel by our English-speaking guide. For the next two days you will see the marvelous Andes Mountains, cross the equatorial line, visit Otavalo and the famed UNESCO heritage market. Those who enjoy physical activity can participate in a hike at Cuicocha Lake. Your accommodations is the incredible La Mirage hotel & Spa. We suggest that you leave enough time to enjoy the gardens and spa facilities. Dinner is included in the Andean setting. (B,D)

DAY 3 ANDES MOUNTAINS/QUITO

The morning is yours to enjoy at La Mirage. Take advantage of some of the trails that lead from the hotel, walk around, and marvel at the flora and fauna. After lunch there is a transfer back to Quito and to your hotel. The evening is yours to relax and dine at your leisure. (B, L)

DAY 4 QUITO

Our English-speaking driver will pick you up for the early morning flight to the Galapagos Islands. The flight path is Quito to Guayaquil and then Guayaquil to Baltra Island. Total flying time is about 5 hours. (B, D)

DAYS 5 to 8 GALAPAGOS ISLANDS BOAT TOUR

Set sail between for your Galapagos Boat Tour – a 5 days cruise on board the Treasure of Galapagos. This 16-passenger catamaran is one of the newest boats in the Galapagos Islands. All excursions with bilingual, English and Spanish speaking, guides. Walk on one of the Earth’s newest land masses, swim with friendly sea lions, visit the natural habitat of marine iguana, come face-to-face with blue footed boobies, and more.

DAY 8 RETURN TO QUITO

In the morning disembark the catamaran and return to Baltra Island for your return flight from the Galapagos to Quito. Once in Quito, our English speaking driver will pick you up for a transfer to Swissotel. Freshen up and get ready for an amazing night tour of Quito. This 5-hour adventure begins after sunset with a panoramic tour of the colonial city lit up with wonderful night lights. Walk through Independence Square, home to some of the city’s most important buildings, including the White house, the main Cathedral and the Archbishop palace which now holds a number of restaurants and cafes inside. Continuie your walk through La Compania church and will end up at San Francisco Square. The evening concludes with a dinner in the company of your guide at a traditional ‘Quiteño’ restaurant featuring live music.(B, D)

DAY 9 HOMEWARD BOUND

Transfer out for your international flight. (B)
