Included*: all meals, nightly entertainment, one of the largest dance floors of on the sea (although smaller than regulation competition floor), nightly dancing to live music, unique dance environment, lots of time to mingle with our coaches and judges. Note that all CDC travel guidelines at the time of sailing will be adhered to.
Not included: Travel insurance, flights, personal purchases, private lessons (available upon request), alcoholic beverages, gratuities, dance entries. Dance fee prices and heat entries not included in cabin prices.

Pierre Allaire and MC and Mireille Veilleux Adjudicator
Pierre Allaire and Mireille Veilleux are professional ballroom dancers, coaches, adjudicators, and choreographers. As an MC Pierre’s deep voice and humor are mesmerizing. It is impossible to talk about Pierre without mentioning his life and dance partner, Mireille Veilleux. Together they have been Canadian Amateur International and Standard Champions, 12 times undefeated Canadian Professional Ten-Dance Champion, Canadian and North American Professional International Latin and Standard champions, British Open Professional Rising Star Latin Champion, and World Professional Ten-Dance grand finalist. Pierre Allaire is a World Class Amateur and Professional championship adjudicator, was the Choreographer on the TV Show “So You Think You Can Dance” Canada. Also he is Co-organizer of Danse Sport Montréal in Canada. They are also teacher examiners for the ISTD curriculum.
Méryem Pearson Adjudicator
How to describe an icon! Meryem started out as an Olympic figure skater before her exceptional career in the ballroom world. For 20 years, she has coach of ALL past amateur and professional Canadian champions and she is going strong as she continues to coach. She is a world-class instructor and adjudicator and has judged renowned competition in most parts of the world. Meryem is the organizer of La Classique du Québec, the most prestigious competition in Canada.
She has also been an adjudicator at the Blackpool Dance Festivaland is a Dual Fellow in Ballroom, Latin, Smooth, Rhythm and Cabaret of the I.S.T.D and CDF and an Examiner for the Canadian DanceSport Federation. Méryem is a recipient of the “CARL ALLAN AWARD” from the Royal Family in London, England, for outstanding contribution to Ballroom dancing. Most of all, Poseidon Ball co-owner Eva had her very first Smooth and Rhythm exams with Méryem, leading to a complete career change. Thank you Méryem
James Prouton Adjudicator
James joins our judging panel for Poseidon 2024. He was one of our judges and professionals in at our inaugural Poseidon Ball competition in 2019. An accomplished ballroom dancer, James established himself as one of the UK’s top amateurs, regularly finishing in the top 6 in England and in the quarter finals of most international championships. He ranked as the UK Ten dance champion and was very privileged to represent England at the World Championships where he finished 9th. Over the years, his dancing has become his number one passion and we can’t imagine anyone better to join our Passion to Dance cruises. James is the owner of “Dizzy feet dancing” and a popular dance competition in the UK. Don’t be fooled by all those titles, James is also a charming and proficient social dancer.
Lesya Sinitsa -Adjudicator
Lesya is a Blackpool International Ballroom Professional semi finalist and Ohio Star Ball champion. Sh e was also the US open Professional International Ballroom finalist and US American Smooth Champion. She is the current co-owner of “Lead and Follow dance studio in California.
Denis Kutepov -Adjudicator
Denis currently coaches in California. He is also a former Blackpool and UK open Professional Rising Star Ballroom finalist. He is the winner of the Ohio Star Ball Showdance. Denis Kutepov specializes in International Style Standard. He is a finalist of many major competitions around the world including the European Championships and European Cup. He is a dance studio owner, and instructor, a competition organizer, as well as an adjudicator. He is the current owner of “Lead and Follow dance studio in California.
Yuliya Zavadska Adjudicator
Yuliya is a Canadian, Polish, and Ukrainian Ballroom and Latin dance Champion. She, with her then partner Ilya Maletin, won the Latin Professional title at the coveted “La Classique du Quebec” competition. She ranked as a top dancer on “So You Think You Can Dance Canada” season 4 TV show. She currently teaches dancing in Toronto, Canada, Yuliya is a judge, dance instructor, owner -reator of Muse Dance Design for ballroom and Latin clothing. She is also known for her winning hair and make up work at many competitions in Canada. She will be available to prepare our ladies for Poseidon Ball.
Renata Shvarts -Chairperson
Renata has both National and International credentials as a certified dance judge and WDSF World Class Adjudicator and Chairman of Judges. She has had the honor of adjudicating some of the most prestigious championships in the world including, but not limited to: 2018 WDSF World Latin SR I Dancesport Championships in Shijiazhuang, China, 2017 WDSF World Latin SR I Dancesport Championships, Miami, USA and 2017 WDSF Grand Slam Amateur Latin and Standard, Hong Kong. As a competitive dancer, Renata and her husband Anatoliy have won and placed in finals of many regional Professional Rising Star Latin and Open Championships. They were 3rd at the United States National Dance-Sport Championships – Amateur Latin (Miami, Florida). They were also runners up in Professional Open Rising Star Latin at La Classique Du Québec International Championship in Montreal, Canada. They have been fortunate to represent U.S.A. at the World Masters Invitational Championship in Innsbruk, Austria.
Travel organizer
Eva Stelzer
Event planner and travel specialist, Eva is the travel and cruise line liaison for all Poseidon Ball travel planning. A former professor of education, physical education, and an accomplished academic author, Eva brings to the table a wealth of travel experience. She is a successful Amateur dancer in the Pro-Am world with many titles finishing top 3 in both Canadian and American pro am competition. Eva is a certified yoga instructor with degrees in physical education, business administration, and communication studies.

*A minimum of 8 single dances and 1 championships is required to be eligible to dance in the scholarship or the show dance. A minimum to 6 single dances or 1 show dance are required to enter the competition for any pro-am. All dance heat entries are 50% refundable in the event of cancellation prior to February 1 and non refundable after February 2. A minimum of 6 dances are required to participate in the am-am division of the competition. A maximum of 2 consecutive age levels can be performed by each dancer. A maximum of 18 single dancers per competitor. No limit for scholarship and multi-dance.

Heat entries and dance fees are non-refundable. Until April 1, 2023 heat entries fees are transferable to another competition held by Renata Shvarts.
Men, women, and same sex couples will compete among each other. Entry to workshops, competition, cocktail reception, and group class with Marcus are inclusive

Poseidon Ball 2024
CRUISE PRICING
All prices in USD.
Includes: 7 nights cabin fare, all meals, port fees and taxes. Dance program fees additional $550.00 payable at deposit and includes master classes, entrance to ballroom for the competition, welcome cocktail party.
Cabin pricing starting at $1,499 per person based on double occupancy and availability.
Non dancers and friends registration fee – $300 upon booking – to include entry to competition, cocktail party, group dining (no master classes).
Poseidon Ball Competition is a dance competition, and event with dance masterclasses, evening dancing to Cunard’s live band, a holiday with like-minded people, an opportunity to take dance lessons with some of the finest teachers and coaches. All competitors and non dance friends must book their cabin through us. The competition takes place over 3 half day time slots and is the equivalent of a full day competition. We are a member of the Dance Vision Circuit.
