The Larco Museum

This year (2017) the Larco Museum won Trip Advisors award for the top 25 museums in the world. The Larco Museum (Museo Arqueológico Rafael Larco Herrera) is a privately-owned museum of pre-Columbian art. The museum is housed in an 18th-century vice-royal building built over a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid.

1. Experience the Bajada de los Baños a walkway that connects Barranco to the Pacific ocean. It was originally used by fishermen coming down from Surco, to the beaches of Barranco. The slopes of the cliffs still have some preserved old wooden ranches, some converted to restaurants and bars.
