Meet the Team
Vanessa Jardim and Mario Sergio
We welcome to our team the passionate dancers Mario Sergio and Vanessa. They won the Festival Tango in 2024 and are 3 time Milonguerio del Mundo finalists in 2022, 2023 and 2024. They are currently working together on tango salón projects throughout Brazil. They are members, coaches, and choreographers of the Tango & Paixão company. Their achievements include: • World Championship in Buenos Aires • Champions in the Tango Under 50 category (2023) • 3rd place in the Professional Tango category (2023) • 1st place in the Audience Choice Awards for Tango, Vals, and Milonga – Carnaval Tango Festival 2024, Buenos Aires 5th place in the Milongueros del Mundo category (2023) –Together, they combine technique, sensitivity, and stage presence, offering a unique experience in dance and performance. They are wonderful teachers and performers currently living in Sao Paolo, Brazil. They travel the world to teach and perform in Argentine Tango.
Ivan Aleksandrov
Master Dj, performer, and teacher specializing in Argentine Tango. Ivan has been dancing since the age of 12, His professional dance career began with a traditional folk dance company in Russia. By 2008, he turned in professional dance career towards Argentine Tango. He has studied with the masters of dance around the world.
Since arriving in Canada, Ivan has been invited to Dj and perform at the most prestigious Argentine tango festivals and marathons in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. His is passionate about all aspects of tango and is a sought-after teacher, an exceptional performer and an avid milonguero. Ivan has helped put the Ottawa tango community on the map. We welcome Ivan to the Eviactive team.
