Full Day Garzon Bike Tour: “Cycle the Uruguayan Tuscany”
Our host will greet you at the pier or at your hotel and take you on a cycling tour in the sleepy town of Garzon. Local trails cross more than 4,000 hectares of Olive Tree Plantations. While cycling you’ll visit Colinas de Garzon where you will learn about the process of making extra virgin olive oil. After tastings of both olive oil and wine, continue biking to the town of Jose Ignacio. Enjoy a typical picnic lunch surrounded by nature. You’ll be impressed by the lagoons and landscape that unfolds in the countryside. In the afternoon cycle back to Jose Ignacio. This excursion takes about 6 hours and includes a private round trip transfers from cruise, English speaking specialized guide, transport to Garzon, support vehicle throughout the ride (only private groups) snacks and water, bikes with helmet and handle bag. The average distance ridden is 30 kms. At the end of this excursion you will be taken back to the ship or to your hotel.

Punta & Surroundings Private Tour
Our host will greet you at the pier or at your hotel for a visit to the area of Punta del Este. Begin with a visit to the intriguing “Casapueblo”, a spectacular property on the hillside over the Atlantic Ocean that was designed and built by the renowned Uruguayan artist Carlos Paez Vilaró. Continue to “Mansa” beach and discover the pirate tales of the area known as “Las Delicias” located in front of the “Gorritti Island”. Punta is rising in sophistication and is attracting an increasingly international clientele. Main attractions include the marina and port, which is usually frequented by the massive sea lions.
The tour continues onto the undulated crazy bridge of La Barra, and area famous for its antique shops, local craft shops and charming atmosphere, very similar to its “twin” village “Manantiales. The tour ends with a visit to the Atchugarry Foundation and sculpture park where you will enjoy a typical “Uruguayan merienda”. (Tour includes transport, guide, entrances to museums and typical “Uruguayan merienda”). Return to the ship. Excursion takes about 6 hours.
